The Northham Racecourse is the WA’s number one winter racecourse and was established by the Northham Race Club in 1863. Located directly in the middle of the stunning Avon Valley, it is a quick hour drive from Perth when headed down the Great Eastern Highway. The racecourse is located on Yilgarn Avenue, on the edge of the Mortlock River, at the eastern end of town. Northam offers punters everything they could possibly want. It’s the only track in WA that offers all three racing components, and is the only town in all of Australia other than Cranbourne to do so. Continue reading →
